About Red Collar
In the late ’80s, David Beardsell wanted to figure out how the Europeans have perfected their beer, so David and his wife Annemarie moved to Munich from Vancouver BC. While in Europe David enrolled in Doemens Brewing school, receiving his masters in brewing. After graduating, he went on to work in England at the brewing research foundation which led him around the world creating beer in places such as India & Western Samoa before returning back to Canada in the ’90s. Since being back in British Columbia, David and Annemarie have owned three breweries in total, but currently, only own Red Collar.
In 2014 Red Collar Brewing Company officially opened in Kamloops B.C and over the past five years, they have been working hard in their 80 seat brewhouse. They now provide one of the largest selections of locally brewed on tap beer in the city, as well as over twenty-five different locally brewed and bottled beer options to choose from. There is also plenty of food options and non-alcoholic beverages for the little ones who may tag along as well. The brewery also has three separate sections of seating arrangements; There is the outdoor patio, an upbeat section and a quiet family-friendly fun section. These different options allow everyone to have a great time and really enjoy their experience.
